Belgrad Forest – Dams, This is one of the most beautiful excursion areas in the Belgrad Forest. The Topuzlu Dam (1750), Valide Dam (1796) and Sultan Mahmud I Dam (1839), which were built to meet the demand for water in the Ottoman Empire period, are all situated here. There is a buffer that provides items neccessary for picnics. The walking course leads right into the dephts of the forest and a cycle path takes you to different areas of beauty with every season. The green cover is stunning in the spring, the coolnes is pleasent in the summer, the yellow and red colors of fall are breath-taking, and winter is quiet world of nature asleep.

For those who want a calm corner in the Belgrad Forest the excursion area named after the famous author Falih Rıfkı Atay is the place to be. This area meaures two hundred thousand square meters and rests between Neşet Water and Kömürcübent. The Falih Rıfkı Atay Excursion Area offers ideal opportunities for picnicking in every condition with its wooden benches. The excursion area has ample water resources, while the mini football pitch offers a great chance for children and adults to play. It is possible to see mant different examples of local flora and fauna while in the depths of the forest.
Getting here: This area is adjacent to Neşet Waters, after Bahçeköy entrance of the Belgrad Forest. It can be reached by following the sign – post to Kemerburgaz, Göktürk and Kurtkemeri.
