The Mediterranean region is located in the area called the lakes region. It is the third largest lake after Van and Tuz lakes of Turkey. Face measurement is 650 kilometers. This lake, which is 1,116 meters above sea level, does not exceed 10 meters in average depth. Beyşehir covers the middle part of the pit area between the Sultan mountains extending in the north-west and south-east direction and the mountains in the north and south direction in the west. The width of the lake decreases from south to north. The maximum width is 28 kilometers on the southern base. There are 23 islands in various sizes on the sky. There is a small village on the island of Mada, the largest of these, and to the north west of the lake.
Located in the limestone land, Beyşehir is fed with the underground waters of the lake. The excess water of the lake flows towards the Konya plain through Wednesday water and helps to water this oven. While the waters of Beyşehir are sweet, the marsh that is in it makes the plants harmless by disturbing the taste of the water. In addition, plenty of carp fish is obtained from the lake. With the natural beauty of the lake and its surroundings, all kinds of possibilities have been prepared to be a tourist destination. It is very popular in Ankara from Beyşehir to spend the weekend for the holidays.
