Establishment of Udemy

Eren Bali is a Turk who moved to America eight years ago. The young entrepreneur, whose mother and father are teachers in Turkey, is taking proposals from America for years when she is still a student. However, he decides to study in Turkey because he does not want to leave his family and he hardly knows America. After graduating from ODTÜ University, one of the most respected universities in the country, Eren Bali is starting his adventure for America.

Eren Bali’s dreams do not come true immediately when he first goes to America. Many fail before he seizes success and thinks to give up. Eren Bali, who lives in America and works in a full-time job during the daytime, spends nights all over Udemy in her head. A successful Turkish entrepreneur says his school life is influential in the formation of this idea. The entrepreneur who grew up in Malatya, Turkey, lived in difficulties because of the inadequacy of education in the country during the student years. This has been very effective in establishing Udemy, an online education platform that everyone can easily access.

How did Udemy succeed?

Eren Bali lived in a very difficult situation when he first went to America. He had to devote almost all his money to the Udemy project. Moreover, much work had to be done to grow the business. During this process, the young entrepreneur had to pause for many times. Now we needed to invest to grow the foundation. In the Silicon valley, there were 56 applicants. However, Eren Bali had no positive response from any of them. Despite this, he continued to work. Investors did not understand why people would prefer a course they could not get a certificate. Erem Bali said, “If people get certified, they will end their education.” The young Turkish entrepreneur thought that education should continue without ceasing. This thought eventually received the award. Dave McClure provided $ 1 million in support for the project, providing nearly $ 250 in deposits in the Silicon valley. After that investments are rainy; We never extend. Let’s say the last $ 32 million in 2014, $ 65 million in 2015, $ 60 million in June 2016. Forbes stated the market value as $ 710 million. Udemy continues to achieve its success with the slogan “Never Stop Learning”.
