The New mosque, This built is one of the famous parts of Eminönü.  Yeni Camii is located in Eminönü Square next to the Spice Bazaar. One of the most magnificent mosques along the Bosphorus, it completes the Istanbul portrait. The construction of the mosque started in 1597 on the decree of Safiye Sultan, the wife of Sultan Murad III and the mother of the Sultan Mehmed III. After 1598, the arthitect Dalgıç Ahmet Çavuş took over from the original architect, Davud Agha.

Spice Bazaar is the Flower Market. The tea houses here are we always full. The Spice Bazaar is the second- largest covered market in teh city with more then 100 shops, many of them still selling spices, while others are famous for their dired fruits and nuts or their cheeses and pastırma. Outside the market is a colourful street filled with merchants selling fish, cheese or olives.
