The Marmara Region

Turkey covers al of the shore of teh sea of Marmara with its land i the continent of Europe. The geographically determining factors here are the sea of Marmara and the Meriç (Maritza) river in the Thrace. There are three types of climate in the area temperate on the shores of the tinental climate inland. The winter in the region of Tharece is cold and crisp. The Marmara region is the most important industrial region in Turkey. Almost all of the factories which are the lifeblood of Turkish Industry are in this region.
