Zeynep Kamil Hospital
This hospital is located on Nuykuyusu Street. It was constructed by Zeynep Hanım, who was the doughter of the governor of Egypt and the vife of Grand Viezer Yusuf Kamil Pasha, with her husban’s support. The construction of the hospital started in 1860, and it was open for use in 1862. The hospital began admitting patients in 1895. After Haydarpaşa Numune Hospital was opened in 1936, Zeynep Kamil Hospital became a gynecology/ obstericks and pediatrics hospital.
Çinili Mosque (Tiled) Mosque
Çinili Mosque is located on the hills of Usküdar, at the intersection of Alleme and Çinçin Hamam streets. The mosque has gates that lead to the Çinili Mescit Street. Ummi AHmed Efendi lodge is situated only one hundred free in front of the mosque. The lodge is located on the left side of the mosque. It was built in 1640 by Sulta Mahpayker Kösem, the wife of Sultan Ahmed I and mother of sultans Murad IV and Ibrahim. The mosque was designed with a madrasa, school, fountain, Turkish bath and a fauntain for making ablutions.
